Don Francisco
He's Alive MP3
Annie Brooks
Love Song mp3
Dear Don,

I recently heard your music for the first time, and I enjoyed it immensely. I am a twenty-four-year-old man from Montana, and I have been a Christian as long as I can remember. I have never liked Christian music even though I was raised on it, and I haven’t listened to any in the past eight years. However, after hearing your He’s Alive Collection Volume 1 CD, I felt peace in my soul like never before. I enjoyed it so much, that I bought four of your albums as soon as I could and can’t get enough of them. I feel like your music is deeply inspired by God, and it helps me feel His love and joy that I know I have missed. Thank you so much for letting the Holy Spirit guide you in your art. Your music has touched my life in a great way and brought me closer to God than ever before. Sincerely, Ben

Myth #19 - Bad Women Have A Jezebel Spirit.
Let me just start off by saying that if you are a woman who has been called Jezebel, you are in great company. Many of the most creative, intelligent, ministry-minded, brilliant women I have known have been called by that name. Usually it's because somebody wanted to squeeze them into a religious box and they decided to follow God instead.

There is not one reference in the Bible to the "spirit of Jezebel". Jesus met hookers and adulteresses and troubled women of all kinds and He never ever referred to any of them as having a Jezebel spirit. In fact, he treated them all like royalty.

If the spirit of Jezebel made a habit of running around glomming onto women and turning them into medusas, I think we would have heard about it somewhere in the Bible. But there is no mention of anything like that.

You know why? Jezebel died. She's dead. Gone. Bought the farm. Kicked the bucket. She's an ex-Jezebel. She's outta here.... and presumably, she took her spirit with her.

It seems like this horrible label is administered as a control measure. But in years gone by many outstanding women would have been called a witch and burned at the stake, so I guess things are improving.

The real Jezebel was not someone I would have liked to meet in a dark alley. I guess the reason men do not really have an equal and opposite insult commonly thrown like a mudpie at them, ("the spirit of Ahab", for instance), is that there are so many men who were really bad in the Bible that there isn't one particular masculine baddie name which stuck. Just think, if it hadn't been for Jezebel, when someone gets angry at a woman, all they could say would be, "You, you... spirit of, of,.... badness you!"
