How To Use MP3s! - Back to the MP3 Area
| There are two basic ways to listen to MP3's: The first way is just to click on them and hope they play. Since the MP3's on our site are high quality, they will not "stream" (which basically means "play right away") unless you have a high speed or satellite connection. If you do have a fast connection and the right player software, then that may be all you need to listen to MP3s. Your default player will open and play the file.
But for those who still have a "dial-up" connection, or for those who want to create CDs, the other way to use MP3's is to download them into your computer. Do this by "right clicking" on the link (click with the right button on your mouse). A box will open which says, among other things, "save to target folder". Click on this and then a browser (a little window that helps you find the folder you want in your computer) will open. Choose the folder you want the MP3's to be saved to and click on it. The MP3s should download into your computer. To play them, all you have to do is open your player software, go to "file", browse to the folder, open the MP3, and hit play. If you try the above suggestions and you still can't play MP3's, it may be necessary to call a local tech. If ALL else fails, try asking a teenager who wears spikes or blue hair. I have had alot of success doing just that. |
