You Are Loved
Good Words
The phrase, "God loves you", is heard so often, we forget to really think about what it means. The Bible says that even though our lives were in opposition to everything God is, God loved us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. We didn't have to clean up before He came. The Bible says He loved us first. Jesus didn't come to condemn, or to give a standard by which we could condemn others. He came because He loves us... just as we are.

If you think God does not love you as much as He loves other people, it is probably because you think He is angry about things you have done. But the Bible says we have ALL fallen short of God's perfection! And that is why Jesus came and died - to erase the debt. God doesn't just have love for you, He IS love! If you were the only person in the whole world, Jesus still would have died for you.

Whether you have asked Jesus to live in your heart or not makes no difference in how much God loves you. Even if you are not a Christian, he still loves you just as much as any Christian!

We are not good enough in ourselves to have a friendship with God, so through Jesus, God has reached out His hand to every person in this world. But the act of giving takes both a giver and a receiver. You have to say yes and tell God you want to be a part of His family. Then, the forgiveness God has extended to our world, applies to you personally... you become a part of His family.

That does not mean God loves you any more than He ever did. But it does mean that through Jesus, you can have a face to face relationship to God, coming boldly to Him at any time. That is when your adventures really begin!

Remember when the fairy godmother spoke and turned Cinderella's rags into a beautiful gown? Ever wish your words were that powerful? Well, guess what...your words are even MORE powerful. Cinderella's gown turned back into rags at midnight, but many of our words go deep, take root, and have results that last a lifetime.

That is why it's so important to be aware of what is coming out of our mouths, and to use our words decisively to build God's Kingdom

The Bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. We can begin to spread His life right in our homes by becoming a fountain of encouragement to our spouse and kids. Should that encouragement be based on how they perform? Absolutely not..it should be based on who the Bible says that they are... heirs of God's Kingdom.

The Bible says that the tongue is like the rudder of a large ship. Our words steer the course of our lives. We can practice blessing our families and showing our kids how to bless each other!

The Bible says that when we bless God, but then cut down people who are made in His image, (that includes ourselves) it's contradictory. Don't berate people...especially yourself.

Sometimes, when you tell a person how he or she ought to become more spiritual, it can actually push a person in the other direction. This is especially true with our families.

That is why the Bible tells us to speak sparingly, and always to speak the truth in love. Sometimes we don't feel very loving, so we end up not talking at all. Many times that is just the right thing to do.

We all struggle with our words. We also take them for granted. But it's frustrating to have the fruit of our efforts turn into pumpkin at midnight.

The Bible says that out of an abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Spend time in HIS word. Your mind and heart will be renewed, refreshed, and reawakened. You will begin to see as God sees, and to speak His words.
His words, spoken in love, and in the Spirit's timing, produce fruit that is eternal.
