Are You Ready For A Revival?
Most people are waiting around for revival...waiting for "God to move". God already moved...He sent His Son to die for us - then He sent the Holy Spirit to empower us!
Step one for revival...love your neighbors. If you really want a revival, you can start one in your house. But first, you have to love the people closest to you...starting with your family. Many people wish for revival but don't even have good relationships under their own roof. We have Jesus in us. Where else are people going to see Him?
Who are the agents of revival? We are! Dozens of people have come to God in our home in the last few years. I'm not saying that to boast, but to show you what is possible. If that happened in every Christian home, we'd have a revival!
We are enjoying revival NOW. Our house is always open to people who love God, who are searching for God and who are learning, talking and praying. Teens come from all over town to hang out here. We have guest speakers here at our home! Sometimes our house gets packed out with all kinds of people, grandmas, teens, dads, and little kids. We've had wonderful miracles in our house and watched people praising God!
Stop complaining that we need a revival and go start one! Our job in Jesus is to bring revival - one life at a time. What does "revival" mean but bringing to life that which is lifeless? It has nothing to do with numbers and everything to do with loving people one heart at a time.
When the Kingdom breaks out, it isn't easy When people begin to get saved and God's kingdom begins to explode, many people get very angry. Don't be surprised when you hear gossip and get some opposition...that's a part of ministry.
We go to a wonderful church that encourages us to get out there and be Jesus to this world. They do not limit us in any way or act as if they know more about God than we do. They have taught us that we are ALL ministers.
You have everything you need. When you gave your life to Jesus. He gave you everything you need pertaining to life and Godliness. The reason we don't have revival is not because God isn't moving, it's because of our lack of knowledge. Get going. Your world needs YOU.

Many Christians wish for revival. We need to realize what revival is before we can have one. We need to realize how revivals happen.
Revival is not what most churches think it is. Revival blows the doors off of churches and breaks up our structure and is not controllable or predictable...sort of like new wine spilling out of old wineskins. When most churches realize what a revival is, they decide they don't really want one.
Revivals don't happen from hundreds of thousands of people marching in front of their capital buildings. They don't happen from TV preachers railing on non-believing citizens.
A revival is a direct result of large amounts of power and love flowing from the lives of individual believers into the church and the population at large. When the tide of God's love and power in believers is united and strong enough, it will produce a revival wherever it happens... in a family, in a church, in a nation.
All believers are the agents of revival. We have been forgiven of our sins past, present, and future... we stand in the shoes of Jesus as a gift... we are now as He was in this world.
The problem is, most believers don't know this. We are still feeling guilty about the very sin which was defeated at the Cross and forgotten by God. We are still judging nonbelievers for their sins and pushing them further and further away from God. Most of the church is acting to separate God from the world He loves so much and died for!
Dead religion produces judgemental, prideful, guilt motivated people. Living faith produces freedom, forgiveness, patience, humility, love. Love produces fruit for God's Kingdom - and revival.
Do you REALLY want revival enough to be willing to sacrifice all the comforts of dead religion to have it? Then step into the real shoes of Jesus. Accept that He has forgiven you, once and for all. Accept that Jesus has empowered you... not to condemn the world, not to judge, but that through Him, working in YOU, the world might be saved. Have a revival in your heart... your family... your church.... |
