Love is the Greatest.
The Bible calls us to love each other. It says so in a clear, undeniable, inarguable manner. There are many doctrinal issues you can debate... you can study the original languages and find shades of meaning on this topic and that topic. But you will still find that love is the highest priority, the clearest command.

Love takes precedence over every doctrine and love is itself the greatest doctrine.

The number one quality of a true Christian, according to the Bible, is an overflowing, inexhaustable, energetic, enthusiastic love for ALL people. This love overlooks sin and always sees the best in people.

When someone sees the best in you, it frees you to become your best. When someone judges and condemns you, you feel locked into your sin and you have anger added to it. When Christians love, they reflect God's heart and they draw people to Him. When they judge, they push people away from God.

The character of God is that His love covers a multitude of sin. He does not do so lightly. It cost the life of His Son, but the price has been paid. He overlooks the sin of this world and sees what is best in each of us. He is the lifter of our heads.

If Christians could love each other, the world would see God in us. We have allowed lesser doctrines to divide us. Instead, we have churches here and there where the people are united in doctrine and scared of other churches, and of the outside world.

There are awesome people in the world many of whom actually do a better job of loving than many of us do. When you spend your life visiting churches of many different denominations, you see clearly that it isn't what name the church has... it's whether or not the people inside the church are prideful or loving. Loving churches are alive and bearing fruit for His kingdom.

Ask God to increase the love in your heart. Ask Him to let you see people the way HE sees them. Set aside the religious blinders and get back to what it's all about... LOVE. It's the greatest.
