First things first, my name is Annie. I don't particularly like the smell of chocolate, and I think everyone looks great in brown. I was born in the same year as Super Mario, 1985. I'm sure it was a very developmental year for me, but since it has seemed to slip my memory, I'll tell you of more recent developements. I have developed a love for legwarmers, and an uncanny magnetization towards ice creme. And though most of my most useful skills came to me quite early on, I have picked up a few which may be of some interest to you.
Growing up in a music-saturated, art-infested home, pastels and harmonicas took the place of Barbie, and of that I am thankful. I traveled all over the world with my family, manning CD booths, eating crumpets and lugging guitars in and out of subways. I've been going on missions for nearly 8 years, building homes, assisting in clinics and playing with kids. I highly recommend that you seize any opportunity of that sort. I took an interest in guitar, songwriting, and piano at the age of 5, but wasn't passionate about music until I was about 14. It was then that I wrote this prayer in my journal..."God, there are as many songs waiting to be written as there are stars in the sky. Please can I have just 10 of them?" Sortof a cheesy thing to say, but God heard me, and it began. I was blessed with lyrics and melodies that I finally recorded in 2004. "Breathtaking" was my first CD. On it are songs about God, dear friends in high school, and living life to it's fullest.
Shortly after, I married Jake, the love of my life and the best man on earth, (who else would I marry?) but that story is too long to share on this teeny page.
We moved to Colorado Springs to attend Bible College for two years. It was there that I started to fiddle about with photoshop. And with all of the sketching that I did during class (shhh!) I became more confident with art and design.
Presently, Jake and I are living in the most beautiful place on earth, Durango, Colorado. Here, we are working with Mission Outfitter (in my oppinion, the most outstanding missions organization out there). I work for Rocky Mountain Ministries, doing web design and corresponence, and I love every bit of it. I am working on my second CD, "Both Sides of Goodnight", it is only a few months away from being finished. Horay! So that is me, I suppose, in a very small nutshell.
